The admission procedure for Nepalgunj Medical College is as follows:
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects from a recognized Board/University.
- The minimum age for admission is 17 years.
- The candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
- The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University.
- The entrance examination will consist of a written test and an interview.

- The candidates will be allotted seats in the college on the basis of their merit.
