Institute of Medicine Nepal (IOM NEPAL) is a constituent college of Tribhuvan University (TU), located in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal. It is the oldest and the largest medical college in Nepal. It offers undergraduate (MBBS), postgraduate (MD, MS, MCh) and super-specialty (DM, MCh) degrees in medicine.
IOM Nepal was established in 1972 by the merger of two government medical colleges, Bir Hospital Medical College and Tribhuvan University Medical College.

How To Take Admission To Institute Of Medicine (IOM) Nepal In 2022-23?
The IOM provides undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) medical education. It also has a hospital attached to it, which provides tertiary level health care services.
Admission to the MBBS course at the IOM is through an entrance examination, which is held every year in the month of June. The entrance examination is conducted by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC).
To be eligible for the entrance examination, the candidate must have:
1. Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
2. Completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
3. Nepalese citizen. The entrance examination consists of two papers:
Paper I: Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology (MCQs)
Paper II: English (Descriptive)
